Noticing so many post in different groups where people see a roaming dog and ask, "anyone know who this dog belongs to", shared and often others see them at a different time.

Trying to find an owner looking for the dog. How do they know the dog was not dumped? If an owner is looking for their dog, I would think they had called the shelter to report em ?

The public can go to the shelter and view the dogs they have in custody but that does not address the lose dog people in groups keep sharing.

If Suzy Q, made a report to the shelter Thursday and sent them a pic, none of the people in the groups have a clue.. This is the person who is missing their dog.
Unless Suzy Q is a member of that particular group and sees the post the dog is still an unknown stray.

There is no reason the shelter could not post pics and discriptions of missing dogs with out any info of who lost em.

If someone has already contacted the shelter and people in social media spot em, that would give the owner a timeline and area to start their search

I do not have an internet phone and am not sure how things work ... facebook rooms, zooom ..
Some members in social media groups are home a lot and have a bit of time

People are so willing to like and share post, I wondered if those who spotted a dog could set up a 'room' and people in that area could join it. NO conversations, games but it would be kind of a paw patrol room. If someone saw em they could chirp in the room and others near the area might buzz around the area to see if they could spot the dog.

Almost just hit this dog ...  Anyone know the owner.

I can't keep for the night

This morning ...someone hit my dog on the rd.  just left it for dead.

Dog was Running On 33. It's Gonna Get Hit.

How long does it take for a pup to get into trouble.

I guess the punch line is, could a 'room' be setup to notify the latest known position for a roamer. If so owners could go to that area at that time and maybe some close would go out n look.

What is stopping the shelter to publish pics and discriptions of reported missing dogs, so the public could report a sighting.
