Adapting gps to a search.
There are meetup sites where strangers find each other in the app.
When Amazon makes a delievery I can follow them on the google map.
When people are just riding along or walking often they post to social media that they spotted a roaming dog.
This app or link could be clicked on to show the location of a roaming dog in real time.
Duh "There is a dog over on jump street running around" I see lots of post like these and have no idea where it is and pay little attention to such post. BUT I might have driving in that area many times, just didnt know what the street names were.
Here if I said I saw a dog over by Fury ct, how many would have a clue, how many would take the time to find it on the map?
But what IF the app would create a Google LAYER MAP?
Now you guys can talk to your phones with out typing, with an app like this they could press that app button and record the sighting, the post would kind of look like this.. map location or pup included if there was time.
Roving Dog
If owners were looking for their dog and subscribed to emails, they would see where roaming dogs were sited as soon as they were spotted.
A couple days ago there was a post about a missing dog and a couple comments, of others who said they spotted em n by the time they got there, he was gone. A couple days later they found em.
Broadcasting missing kids as well as dogs 😋
Channel 4 TV had a clip about an app someone made for saftey on the university campus.. directed only to those in that specific area.
When pics are taken with a cell phone, gps locations are stamped in the image.
If a person might help look for a dog, it would be in their own area.
Of course there are gps collars for dogs ..IN CASE
News only important to things going on near you.
On our news channels, they create maps with pins on crime areas or accidents/road work.
Could such an app be created to do this and much more. Just ask your local high school computer teacher.
How many animal search groups exist on social media and in businesses dedicated to the cause of getting pups home.
How many people are interested in the cause of getting animals safely home .. ask Google

Would such an app be used by thousands... millions ... what do you think.
If you happen to know any colledge or high school instructor ask them what it would take.
In my memory in school they gave us projects to do this or that. In these schools they spend endless hours creating programs never used. As a class project wonder if the instructor assigned them a project to create such an app?
To standadrize it, the same sequence.. the apps would do the same thing, adopted by the county shelters or public network and be made public domain.
