.
Before launching a lost
pet network, there must be research and discussion.
What arguments
might naysayers have, cam they be addressed.
What laws might apply to different aspects?
The set and
subsets.
The multiple social media groups. Those who start them may have to deal with monitoring post, disputes .. or just deactivate their group.
There are dedicated animal search organizations that rely on social media groups
The Humane Society, shelter, government animal groups.
Business sponsors
These would need to be isolated from the rest, not to have any responsibility for what they do.
Friends of the dog park
Friends of the shelter
Groups that love and work with animals.
Animal protection
organizations.
So many eyes on social media.. I have seen post about dogs I was sure to be a scam. Maybe hints on how to spot scams and report them with a few clicks .
Veterinarian, groomers, daycare...
The "dog detective network".. the tax exempt organization would be the hub.
They would create a
logo and guide lines
Associate members sharing the logo. Kind of like the Good House Keeping approval stamp.
What ever the network name, a copyright logo would be created for it and used only by those in the network
The county associate might publish animal events, adoptions
happening.
Watching the national dog show I saw that Tractor Supply is a sponsor and remembered they have a vet clinic in lots of stores.
People who find dogs can't read microchips, but they can read tag ID's.
ID TAGS
In the few dogs I have
captured, the fastest return was one that had the owner's phone
number on it.
All the animal service in a county would not need a
stamp machine, but finding a local location source would be great.
Even those who forget
to buy the county tags, do buy their pups all kind of things and
those ID tags could be stamped.
Who ever hosted the tag press
could just happen to have collars n things by the stamping machine
Those who were
affiliated with the network, could have posters for the network with
a qr code.
I just do things because I like to but an organization would have cost. Some of their pages could have (animal related" ads, but no popups or cookie trackers, I thought.
What ever animal related things you are involved with, the question is, could such a network benefit you?
